A Brief Thought on Consistency & Getting the Results You Want

Stop being obsessed with the body that you want and start being obsessed with consistency.

The most important thing you can do at the gym is show up.

If you make it your goal to show up every single day, you’re going to do the workouts, and even if you half-ass them, you’ll get better results than if you stayed at home.

Being consistent, in the long run, is the single most important aspect of your fitness.

You can have the best program in the world, but if you don’t actually do it…it’s worthless. On the other hand, you can take a mediocre program from a mediocre trainer that’s been published in a mediocre magazine, and as long as you go to the gym every day and follow it to the letter…

…you’re going to get results.

In fact, you’re going to get exponentially better results than you would if you just followed an epically better program half the time.

A metaphor:

Imagine driving across the entire country, from New York to California, in the middle of the night with just your headlights. You would only be able to see about 300 feet in front of you, but you’d still be able to make the drive and get to your destination.

That’s consistency.

One step at a time will ultimately lead you to exactly where you want to go.

And to that, I’m off to the gym.
